It’s time for annual elections for the 2020 PMI Maine Chapter Board of Directors. The ballot opens on Monday, October 28, 2019 and closes on Friday, November 22, 2019. All active PMI Maine Chapter members will receive an electronic ballot via email.

This year we have five (5) Director at Large positions to be filled on the Board and six (6) candidates that would like to fill those positions. EVERY VOTE COUNTS to fill these positions.
The candidates are (in alphabetical order):
Sergei Chaparin is a Knowledge-Centered Service pioneer at the State of Maine Office of Information Technology, where he trains and coaches support center technicians in knowledge management best practices. He is a US Army veteran with experience in a Fortune 500 company, successful startups, state government, and freelancing. After receiving an MBA with a focus on Project Management, Sergei is preparing for his PMP exam.
Sergei is a creative individual who enjoys producing music, photographing people, and designing brands. He also loves to ride his mountain bike on the trails in Maine and beyond. Sergei would like to work with the board on Marketing/Social Media.
Suzanne Johnson is interested in how companies leverage a project culture to drive business value. Suzanne earned an MBA from USM and a BA in International Studies from Miami University. As an IT professional with 20 years of experience managing projects, Suzanne recently earned certifications as a Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Product Owner (CSPO) and Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM). Suzanne enjoys the outdoors and lives in Cumberland with her two daughters, three cats and a little brown dog (LBD). She is interested in helping the board in an open board position.
Jeffrey Lemieux is a Program Director at TD Bank, where he has been for almost 15 years, specializing in the Merger and Acquisition delivery practice. He has led program and projects of all sizes for the bank throughout North America, partnering with leadership teams across the globe. Prior to joining TD, Jeff was an attorney licensed in Maine and Massachusetts, focusing primarily on real estate and business development. He attended the University of Southern Maine and Boston University. Jeff spends his spare time with his wife and two children, golfing, and of course, enjoying the fine local micro-brews, hopefully while watching the Patriots. Jeff is interested in helping the Board in the Treasurer position.
Theresa Merithew has nearly 15 years of experience in the medical field, holding various positions including Practice Manager and Clinical Staff Educator for information systems. Theresa is actively working toward obtaining her PMP certification. She excels in process improvement; most recently helping Waldo County Medical Partners achieve Patient Centered Medical Home distinction by meeting federal regulatory requirements. In addition to project management, Theresa’s current role as Practice Manager focuses on day-to-day office operations.
Spending time with family and exploring the great state of Maine are also on her list of must-dos in her free time. Theresa also enjoys refurbishing old furniture to bring it new life. Theresa is interested in helping out in the secretarial role.
Stephen Nelson - After a short stint with the Marine Corps, Steve attended USM and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (1997), and later a Master’s in Business Administration (2007). Steve currently works for Synergent, a credit union service organization based in Westbrook, Maine, as the Assistant Vice President of Project Management. He has been practicing project management since 1999 and earned his Project Management Professional® designation in April 2015. Steve is interested in helping the Board with Professional Development.
Rosanne Sheridan is a project manager at WISHROCK, an affordable housing developer in Portland, where she is involved in the financing and rehabilitation phases of new projects in the portfolio. She holds a B.A. in history and French and a Master's in Library and Information Science. She spent the first part of her career as a librarian, working in progressively more responsible roles in a variety of libraries, including public, business research, and academic libraries. Her research background, information management experience, and people skills, combined with her ability to thrive in fast-paced environments, allowed her to seamlessly transition into a more formal project manager role six years ago.
Rosanne holds a certificate in project management from USM, is a member of PMI, and wants to further her interest and involvement in the profession as a member of the PMI Board by working to build and maintain a community of project managers in Maine who are continually learning and supported in their professional growth.
As a native New Englander, Rosanne was born and raised in Connecticut, moved to Massachusetts after college, and, with her husband and three cats, has settled in Maine, where in her free time she cooks, reads, and explores the scenic coast.
