Successful companies are always looking for ways to decrease product development costs and increase value of potential benefits to be realized from the new product
An important prerequisite to success of any new development is a business case, which is a critical requirement in many organizations before committing to projects, new products or other investments. A business case provides justification for a course of action based on benefits to be realized by the proposed solution, as compared to the cost, effort, and other considerations to acquire and live with that solution.
Rigorous business case preparation ensures well-targeted investment across an organization, risk reduction, improved strategic alignment with business goals and objectives and increase in probability of achieving desired outcomes. A well-defined strategic business case should also include appropriate metrics and Key Process Indicators (KPIs) to monitor, measure and report benefit realization.
This interactive session presents a strategic approach to business case development, complemented by a practical framework to organize and standardize the business case development process.
