Technology pic 3 18 19

Technology impacts us seemingly every day.  Our Maine chapter of PMI is no exception.  Here are a few things that are in the pipeline!

  • Newsletter development - Our ability to publish a newsletter is significantly enhanced through our work with our website support vendor Proteon.  Recently we've had a volunteer, Luc Bergeron, who has agreed to help with the publication of our newsletter.  This should help improve the regularity of it being published!
  • Social Media - We've had LinkedIn and Facebook accounts for some time.  Other Social Media accounts such as Twitter and Instagram have been targets for us, yet keeping fresh content has been a challenge.  Recently we have begun working with Proteon to allow us to push web site content directly to these social media outlets.  Additionally, we have identified a volunteer that will focus more specifically on social media.  I hope to announce this person in the next Technology update.
  • Virtual meetings - PMI Maine has recently engaged Zoom as the vendor for on-line meetings.  Our initial experience with this vendor has been excellent.  We plan to gain experience using this and other technology to increase our ability to serve more of the State's membership without having the additional considerations associated with traveling to meetings.

If you have other ideas about the use of technology to serve our PMI Maine Chapter membership and/or want to get involved in this area, please contact me at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
