Do you, or someone you know constructs business analysis or strategy solutions? Does your work deal with requirements gathering or process modeling? If so, you might be interested in the new community within the Maine PMI Chapter that responds to the challenges of the evolving business and technology world.
The PMI Maine Business Analysts Community (MEBAC) is a newly-formed community within PMI Maine. Our goals are to provide opportunities for formal and informal networking, education, and professional growth, to Maine professionals who support business projects, requirements and teams.
This is the exciting time for this community to begin and start growing. Through interviews with other out of state PMI BA organizations and gauging the high interest within the Maine community, we have identified a need in Maine for BA’s to collaborate and learn from their peers. Additionally, PMI International has recently adopted Business Analysis as a core competency within their PMBOK framework. PMI Maine wants to thank MEMIC for sponsoring MEBAC.
Our first MEBAC event – the Chapter Kickoff Party – will host speaker Martin Scheldbaur, who is an expert Agile Coach and Data Visualizer. The topic we’ll be discussing is: Business Analysis in a Changing World: Requirements Management. We will provide non-alcoholic drinks (water, iced tea) and appetizers (though anyone is welcome to order any drinks or food off the menu as well!).
