April Event: Great Meetings Build Great Teams: A Guide for Project Leaders and Agilists

Ways of Working

Meetings are a necessary part of every project manager’s (and agilists) day. However, as important as these events are, they are frequently poorly run and leave both meeting leaders and attendees dissatisfied. Meeting failure can harm team motivation and confidence in the project manager; it will also hinder ongoing project communication. In this session, attendees will learn the fundamentals of good meeting management starting with having a good agenda, agreed-upon ground rules, the need to be “large and in charge” and dealing with meeting goblins (some of whom you’ll meet in our session).

Learning Objectives

  • Understand the importance of planning for your meetings and your projects.
  • Recognize and deal with disruptive meeting behavior.
  • Learn how to prevent others from hijacking your meeting.
