Jason Poirier is currently a project manager in the Project Management Office at MEMIC, a super-regional workers compensation insurance company. Jason has been with MEMIC since April 2014. In addition to project manager, Jason has held other positions at MEMIC including; IT Project Coordinator and Claim Handler. Jason has 15 years of experience in the hospitality industry, holding positions such as sales & catering manager and assistant food & beverage director. He seamlessly brings together his time management and customer service skills from those roles into his project management tool kit.
Jason is eager to get involved in the PMI and serving on the PMI Maine Board of Directors specifically in the capacity of planning for chapter events. He is looking forward to future networking and learning opportunities. His education includes a BS from the University of Southern Maine's School of business, a degree focus in Risk Management and Insurance and a minor in Political Science, received the USM Project Management certification and the WCP certification from AMCOMP. Jason is currently working towards attaining his PMI certifications.
