The 2022 Board election process has begun! The nomination process will be officially open on August 1, with the voting scheduled in November.
We have a couple of currently-open positions and a couple of positions with expiring terms. They are Treasurer (the Board currently has a temporary Treasurer in place), President-Elect (the Board does not currently have one), the Director of Marketing & Social Media, and Secretary.
You don't need certification (CAPM, PMP, PgMP, etc) to be on the Board! The only requirement is that you be a member of the PMI-Maine Chapter in good standing. Other than that, all you need is a desire to serve! You'll be working with other professionals in the project management field with a similar desire to help provide great value for our Maine Chapter members - and it's a great team to work with!
Do any of the available positions interest you, or do you have a chapter member friend or colleague who may be a good fit for one of them? Consider nominating yourself, or that person, for the Board and, if elected, the Board will install you during the meeting following the announcements of the election results.
8/1 - 9/21: Nomination period
9/22 - 10/7: Vetting of nominees, gathering of candidate info (bios, picture, preferred positions), compiled candidate info sent to PMI Global
11/7 - 11/18: Voting period
Elections results announced to Chapter shortly after Thanksgiving
